Good Shepherd Knights of Columbus Council 10685 raised $864.00 for the Capital Area Polar Plunge at Gifford Pinchot State Park on January 21, 2023. The Capital Area Polar Plunge is an event to benefit over 3,400 Special Olympics athletes in the Central PA Area. Our team, “The Frozen Good Shepherd Knights”, consisted of 2 elite, highly-trained and motivated Polar Plungers. All 550 Polar Plungers at the event commit to “Freezin’ For A Reason,” and to raise funds to dip a toe, wade, or jump into the icy waters at Gifford Pinchot State Park. We are happy to report that our Grand Knight Rich Thibeault, and our Recorder Bruce Kocsis, survived the frigid water and are looking forward to the event next year.
